BACKGROUND: Ms. Beasley was born into a horticultural family, regionally acknowledged by design and garden awards. Ms. Beasley thereby inherited landscape skills and knowledge. Formal landscape education followed.
FORMAL TRAINING: Landscape architecture classes: Radcliffe College, Boston, MA; the UC Berkeley Extension program; Arboretum field studies of trees (Arnold Arboretum, Strybing Arboretum) and native California plants (Marin County Open Space and Presidio National Park).
